So maybe your favorite team isn’t in the playoffs (side eyes Lakers fans), but I hope that hasn’t stopped you guys from watching! Okay okay, enough with the banter…especially seeing as that my Bulls have just lost three in a row now to Miami (and two home games at that!) :(
Anyway, I don’t want to talk about that. So, lately everyone’s been buzzing about Dwyane Wade and some of his recent fashion choices. Now I realize I may be the minority opinion here, but I actually like his style! Hate his team, but love his taste. Haha. I think the 31-year-old Miami Heat forward took everyone by surprise when he showed up to Wednesday night’s press conference in this floral print leather Versace bomber jacket and matching shirt. I think this is a bold move, and that’s why I can appreciate it. Fashion is all about taking risks, and being confident in those decisions. Besides, I think men in floral is a great look for Spring/Summer, and very few know how to pull it off. What do you guys think?

This post was originally going to be dedicated to just the Met Gala itself, but let’s face it, Monday night was all about Nicole Richie and that hair.
Many stars showed up and showed out Monday night in New York City for the annual Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This year’s event was punk-themed, in which some rocked (see Miley Cyrus) and others flopped (Kim K, obviously). However, none shined brighter than former socialite and Fashion Star mentor Nicole Richie. The 31-year-old mommy of two took the gala to new heights in a long white Topshop dress with floral embellishments. What really makes this look so incredible though is that stark, grey do (which was accomplished by using hair paint and a tint brush). Paired with some spiky ear jewelry and a dark burgundy lip, we get absolute gothic glam! I love how she made this look “punk” without being obvious. For that, she gets best-dressed hands down. You go girl!

Not only is Zoe Saldana one of my favorite celebrities, but she’s also one to watch for red carpet style! Zoe kicked off the promotional tour for her new movie Star Trek Into Darkness in this incredible two-piece Calvin Klein look from the Fall 2013 collection. The 34-year-old actress is no stranger to making bold fashion statements. Here, she rocks a sleeveless grey wool crop top with a matching grey wool skirt and pairs it with nude Jimmy Choo heels to make for absolute perfection. I think this look is so fun and timeless!

Got my nails done yesterday and it’s safe to say that I’m officially obsessed with this manicure. Once again, I’ve found myself inspired by my spirit animal Lana del Rey. The nail artist said it was her first time doing this design with the gel no-chip polish, but you wouldn’t know it! I love it so much, definitely going to get this look again (maybe next time with black tips!).

With yesterday being the last day of Coachella, I wanted to do a quick post on who I thought was best dressed at this year’s festival. Music events like these tend to bring out the inner hippie in everyone. And although I love floral headbands and a good crochet fringe vest just as much as the next girl, I think the whole “boho/hippie/flower child” look at these things is just starting to get redundant (see Vanessa Hudgens). So, these are the ladies who I feel really did the festival some justice. They kept it fun and gave the event some character! Thank goodness.

One of my favorite up-and-coming brands dropped their Spring/Summer 2013 collection yesterday, and I couldn’t be more excited. Royal Rehab is a luxury street wear brand that is quickly picking up traction for its simple, yet classically unique designs. I’m still so hooked on last season’s “The Lion Tee”, which I honestly wear everywhere. The new collection features four new looks that are sure to be instant classics, and will be instantly added to my wardrobe! A Chicagoan himself, I was fortunate enough to snag a quick interview with the 24-year-old founder and designer, Millord Gionni. Check out what he had to say below!
What does Royal Rehab mean? For me, it’s that moment before royalty takes the throne—the fight it takes to vindicate oneself.
What was your main inspiration behind the current line? I love classic things. I wanted to create a shirt that you can wear with almost anything.
How did you get into design/fashion? I’ve always had a love for fashion, I had my first pair of leather pants at age 3 (laughs).
What is your vision for the brand? Where do you see it going? Hopefully it will become a household name like some of the greats.
Speaking of greats, who are some of your personal favorite designers/brands? I would have to say Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy and Versace.
Well, there you have it folks! I have no doubt that these shirts will soon be just as ubiquitous as the Céline “Paris” tee or the Givenchy “Rottweiler” shirt worn by the likes of Kanye, Rihanna, etc. Yup, Royal Rehab got next. Join the movement.

I think I’m ready for a new hairstyle. I’ve been rocking my short hair for a year now, and although I love it, I really miss putting my hair in a bun sometimes or just doing fun braids and stuff. So I’m going to try to let it grow for once! Right now my current “hairspiration” is Rashida Jones. I just love her bangs and color! So I think once my hair gets a little longer I’m going to add some extensions, get my bangs cut, and then go ombré! I’m getting excited just thinking about it. I think a change of season is the perfect time to go for a new look. I find myself constantly growing and changing—so why not have my hair evolve with me!? Besides, this look is super hot right now. Even the FLOTUS herself got her bangs chopped, and has been serving us nothing but fierceness as of late! These lovely ladies have definitely inspired me to go out with a bang ;)

There’s nothing like a stylish dynamic duo. I came across a picture of socialite, and former The City star, Olivia Palermo and her model boyfriend Johannes Huebl, and was inspired to do this post because of their impeccable “couple style”. Great, stylish couples tend to compliment one another’s style quite seamlessly. I just love the juxtaposition of loafers and a wedge sneaker or Timbs and 6 inch heels. These are the couples I think get it right just about every time.

Talk about good girl gone bad! Emma Watson is ditching the wand and robes for lattes and spandex minidresses. The 22-year-old actress covers May British GQ in full “Nicki” attire from her new movie The Bling Ring. It’s so exciting to see Emma take on such a transformative role. We are definitely not in Hogwarts anymore!

Yesterday Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke showed up to Late Night With Jimmy Fallon looking absolutely stunning! The 26-year-old actress wowed in a nude Versace dress, paired perfectly with Nicholas Kirkwood heels. The red lip also gave this look the perfect pop of color. I don’t happen to watch her show, but I will be watching Clarke’s style in 2013. I think this one’s got some tricks up her sleeve!
